China's top-tier hospitals run preventive screening at a scale and speed
few health systems can match: appointments within days, low-dose CT and PET-CT as routine self-pay options,
endoscopy under sedation without a referral fight, and an English report that a physician walks you through
before you fly home. You do not need a diagnosis to start here — most of our screening guests arrive
well, and leave with a clear baseline and a written plan.

What every WellVoyage checkup includes
- Pre-travel review — we read your history and symptoms, then recommend the package that fits rather than the most expensive one.
- Appointment booked in your name — hospital international department, no queueing on arrival.
- Interpreter accompaniment — English-speaking coordinator with you for every module, including the consultations.
- English written report — compiled by the hospital, with physician commentary on anything abnormal.
- Report walk-through — a physician explains findings and what to do next before you fly home.
- Onward referral if needed — if screening finds something that needs treatment, we map the specialist pathway, in China or at home.
Why do a checkup in China
- Imaging you can actually book — Low-dose chest CT, 3T MRI and PET-CT are routine appointments at top-tier Chinese hospitals, not rationed referrals. Screening guests routinely add whole-body imaging that would take months to authorise elsewhere.
- Same week, not same quarter — Appointments open within days. A full screening programme is typically completed in one to three mornings, with most laboratory and imaging results reported the same day.
- Endoscopy without the referral fight — Gastroscopy and colonoscopy under light sedation are standard self-pay services. No waiting list, no gatekeeping referral, and the operator will biopsy on the spot if something needs it.
- An English report a physician walks you through — You leave with a written English report and a scheduled walk-through with a physician, so the numbers mean something before you get on the plane.

How it works
- Send your history — Age, symptoms, family history, previous results and what you want ruled out. Ten minutes of your time.
- We recommend a package — You receive a specific recommendation — not a catalogue — plus the hospital we would use and a written itemised quote within 24 hours.
- Confirm and travel — We book the appointments, arrange transfers, and share a hotel shortlist. You arrive with the timetable already fixed.
- Screening days — One to three mornings of modules, with your coordinator present throughout.
- Report and walk-through — Results are compiled into an English report and explained to you before you fly home.
- Follow-up — Abnormal findings get a named next step. We stay reachable for 30 days after you return.
Pricing & what your quote covers
Quote on request
Pricing on request — you receive a written, itemised quote within 24 hours of your enquiry, before you commit to anything.
Every quote is itemised, and covers:
- Hospital and physician fees for every module listed on this page
- English-language written report with physician commentary
- Interpreter accompaniment throughout the screening days
- Airport pick-up and transfer to and from the hospital
- Hotel shortlist and booking assistance at negotiated rates
- A physician walk-through of your report before you fly home
No deposit is required to receive a quote. If you decide not to travel, nothing is owed. A quote is not a medical opinion and does not commit either side until you confirm in writing.
Frequently asked questions
What does a checkup in China cost?
We quote on request. Chinese hospitals set self-pay rates individually depending on the modules selected and the hospital tier, so a published figure would be misleading for most guests. Send us the package you are interested in and we return a written, itemised quote within 24 hours — hospital fees, English report, interpreter and transfers all listed separately, before you book anything.
Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to book a checkup in China?
No. Screening is a self-pay service at the international departments we work with, so no referral letter is required. We do ask for your history so that the physician can interpret results against context.
How many days should I plan for?
Most guests set aside two to three days. A one-day executive programme is possible but leaves less room for add-on imaging or a sedated endoscopy, which need their own slot.
Is the report in English, and can my own doctor use it?
Yes. You receive a written English report with the underlying images and laboratory values, which your physician at home can read and act on.
What happens if the screening finds something?
You get a physician walk-through and a named next step. If treatment is advised, we map the specialist pathway — in China or in your home country — with cost and timeline, so the decision stays yours.
Can screening be combined with a treatment trip?
Yes. Family members frequently screen while a patient is being treated, and we schedule both around the same travel window.
